Lord, help me to know the Playbook and then to live out the Playbook in my daily life!

God’s Word is the playbook for our lives! The coach would review the upcoming team’s playbook when I played basketball. Then, we would go through those plays repeatedly until we knew them for the offense and the defense. It is one thing to hear the plays, but it is another to perform them.

God’s Word is our playbook for life! We need to know the plays and perform them in life. The Book of Proverbs is Wisdom and gives us the plays we need to apply to our lives.

Proverbs 1 shows the need for wisdom and understanding of the Playbook. If we do not know the playbook, we cannot live out God’s plans for us.

Proverbs 1: 28-33 gives us the importance of knowing and doing the playbook of God’s Word:

“When they cry for help, I will not answer. Though they anxiously search for Me, they will not find Me. For they hated knowledge and chose not to fear the Lord. They rejected My advice and paid no attention when I corrected them. Therefore, they must eat the bitter fruit of living their own way, choking on their own schemes. For simpletons turn away from Me – to death. Fools are destroyed by their own complacency. BUT ALL WHO LISTEN TO ME WILL LIVE IN PEACE, UNTROUBLED BY FEAR OF HARM.”

God’s Word is the playbook for our lives, but we have the choice of what we will do with the plays that God has given us for our daily lives!

Lord, help me to know the Playbook and then to live out the Playbook in my daily life!
