In Mark 8:11-13, the Pharisees (religious people) come to Jesus and demand a sign. In verse 12, we read: “And Jesus sighed deeply in His spirit and said, ‘Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly I say to you, no sign will be given to this generation.”

How many people are looking for signs today? We ask or pray for God to give us external signs, to know Jesus, to know God’s will, and to ask for guidance. But as followers of Jesus, we do not need external signs because God has given us the Word and the Holy Spirit!

Why would we need external signs when we have the Holy Spirit internally in our lives?

We need to know Him, because Jesus said, “My sheep know my voice and follow Me!”

Today, stop looking for signs and know the Holy Spirit’s presence in your life!

“The steps of a righteous person is ordered by the Lord!”

Lord, help me to know You better today!
