How many of us have unsaved family and friends? What can we do to reach them for Jesus?
In Romans 10:1, “Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved.”
Paul shows us what is needed to reach unsaved people.
We need to make them our hearts’ desire! Heart refers to love and compassion for unsaved people. Desire refers to priority. Do we really love unsaved people? Do we develop a relationship with them? Do we show a desire to know them, listen to them, and show them the love of Christ? That is what Jesus did for us. He loves us and wants a relationship with us. If we want to reach unsaved people, we need a heart and a desire to do so!
Secondly, we need to pray for them, that the Lord would begin to prepare them and draw them by His Spirit! Then we need to pray for opportunities to minister to them at the right time, in the right place, and to the right person!
Lord, help us to have the love for unsaved people, and to pray for the Lord to give us the right opportunities to reach them!
Lord, help me to lead more people to Jesus!
