In Job 2, we see that Satan goes after Job and attacks him physically. What happens to us physically impacts us emotionally and spiritually. How do we respond to sickness and pain?

Job 2:7-9: So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and struck Job with sores from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head. And he took a piece of broken pottery with which he scraped himself while he sat in the ashes. Then his wife said, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die.”

Think about all that Job has endured, and now Job’s wife sees her husband suffering and is at the breaking point. How many of us would give up on God?” How many of us would break?

But what was Job’s response? Job 2:10; “But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women would speak. Shall we receive good from God, and shall we not receive evil? IN ALL THIS JOB DID NOT SIN WITH HIS LIPS.”

Will we respond to trials and tests like Job or Job’s wife? My decisions will determine my direction, and my direction will determine my destiny!

Lord, help me to make the right decisions today!
