Why do we need a personal relationship with Jesus? Because we can do nothing to please Him. We try everything trying to please God; good works, rituals, go to church, serve Him and all He wants is us.
Romans 8:8: “Those who are in the flesh cannot please God!”
When we come to grips with this, we realize that we need Jesus not as a religious duty, but through a personal surrender to Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord!
Lord, help me to realize that I must stop TRYING and start TRUSTING YOU! Life will be so much better when I live this out!
