How many of us struggle with believing the Promises of God, the Supernatural, the miracles that only God can do? In Luke 24, we see the miracle of Jesus’ Resurrection. In the natural this is impossible, but nothing is impossible with God.

Luke 24: 5-8 tells us, “The women were terrified (because the tomb was empty), and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone alive? He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what He told you back in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that He would rise again on the third day.” THEN THEY REMEMBERED that He had said this.”

How many times when we are in a crisis, that we forget the Promises of God’s Word? How many of us are overwhelmed by the crisis and lose our faith and trust in what God has said in His Word?

These are the very same women who watched the crucifixion of Jesus on the Cross. They saw the condition of His body that was beaten, whipped, and ripped apart. They heard the sounds of the nails being hammered into His body. They heard with their own ears the groans and the last words of Jesus. They saw Him take His last breath. They watched as they lowered Jesus from the Cross and took Him to the tomb.

But they were so focused on the immediate that they did remember that Jesus told them that He would die, but that He would be resurrected on the third day!

It is what happens in our lives as well. That is why we need to remember God’s Word in the struggles and tests of life! We need to hide God’s Word in our hearts, minds, and spirits, so that we have an anchor in the storms of life!

Lord, help me to remember Your Word in all the seasons of my life! “Thy Word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”
