Are we winning or losing in life? The difference between winning and losing is preparation, discipline, and desire! In our spiritual life, are we winning or losing? We need to stop the excuses of why we are not winning spiritually!
Paul wrote to the followers of Jesus in 1 Corinthians 9:24-27: “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable one. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified!”
Paul tells us, “Run to win spiritually! To run to win takes desire, preparation, and discipline. No one will win spiritually if we do not desire to follow Christ! No one is going to win if we are not preparing for the race of life. No one is going to win spiritually if we are not disciplined in our spiritual life!
Lord, help me to run this spiritual race until I cross the finish line. Help me not to lose the desire to keep serving you! Help me continue to prepare, not drift, and stay disciplined to run like a winner! Help me to finish my race strong!
