Jesus loves you today and wants what is best for you. But He calls us to follow Him? Are we really following Jesus in our daily lives? If we are followers of Jesus, we realize that He is the one who calls the shots in our lives. We know that it is His Way and not our way! We make the daily choice to submit to His Lordship in our lives.
Matthew 6:24; “No one can serve two masters for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money!”
Whoever calls the shots in our lives is, in fact, the master of our lives. Jesus says we cannot serve both God and money, but we can add many other things as masters that call the shots in our lives. Such as family, friends, possessions, power, ministries, titles, looks, pleasure, addictions, bondages, anger, jealousy, and even religion!
We must make the choice daily to decide whether I will serve Jesus or serve my own gods.
Lord, help me to serve you today.
