In Mark 4:30-32, we see the miracle of the Mustard seed. We see that Jesus shows us the power of the seed, and that when we sow it, miraculous things can happen. But the seed must be planted, not stored away for another day.
“How can I describe the Kingdom of God? What story should I use to illustrate it? It is like a mustard seed planted in the ground. It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of the garden plants; it grows long branches, and birds can make nests in its shade.”
The mustard seed is the smallest, yet it grows into the largest plant in the garden. God is not looking for the size that we sow, but the sowing of what He has already entrusted to us. If we are not sowing and releasing, then God will not give us more! God does not give us more to store away, but to sow and give away!
The mustard seed shows us the power of God to multiply what He has given to us, if we will sow! What are we doing to invest in God’s purposes here on earth?
Lord, help me to realize that if I start sowing today, I will see a harvest in the future! Lord, if I sow, you will give a harvest! But if I do not sow, then I miss out on the harvest that God desires to give me!
Lord, help me to sow into Your Kingdom today!
