In Exodus 16, the people grumble because they are in the wilderness and have no food. The Lord hears them grumbling and tells Moses that He will send manna, or bread, from heaven. God gives Moses clear instructions concerning the manna to provide to the people.
Collect as much as you can eat, but do not leave it to morning. In Exodus 16:20, “But they did not listen to Moses. Some left part of it to morning, and it bred worms and stank. And Moses was angry with them.”
The people grumble! God provides and gives instructions, but people do not obey God! Nothing has changed, even today!
We grumble! God answers! Do we obey?
Lord, help me stop grumbling and trust and obey You in all areas of my life!
