Adam and Eve willfully disobeyed God, and when God found them hiding, he confronted them. Look at what happens at this meeting.
Genesis 3: 11-13
“Who told you you were naked?” the Lord God asked. “Have you eaten from the tree whose fruit I COMMANDED you not to eat?” The man replied, “The woman You gave me that gave me the fruit, and I ate it.” Then the Lord God asked the woman, “What have you done?” The serpent deceived me,” she replied. “That’s why I ate it.”
Today, every single one of us does the same thing with God. We want to blame others for our sins. The culture made me do it, the devil made me do it, my friends made me sin, and we love to blame others for our choice to sin.
We cannot blame other people for our choices! Adam and Eve could have said NO! But instead, they gave into temptation and sinned.
That is precisely what we do as well! We choose to sin. We do not fall into sin! We willfully sin and disobey what God tells us in His Word!
Lord, help me take responsibility for my choices, actions, and sins! Help me stop blaming the devil and people and begin to be ALL IN FOR JESUS!
Your Word tells me, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
