Jesus is still delivering and saving people today. And the key is prayer and faith that Jesus can save anyone!
In Mark 9:14-29, we see the miracle of deliverance. A man had a son who was in an impossible situation. The father brings the boys to the disciples, but they cannot heal or deliver them.
Jesus tells the father to bring the boy to Him. And in verses 22-23, “…But if You can DO ANYTHING, have compassion on us and help us.” That is the heart of prayer!
“And Jesus said to him, “If you can! All things are possible for one who believes.” The father cried out and said, “I believe, help my unbelief.” And Jesus healed the boy!
Later, the disciples ask Jesus, “Why could we not cast it out?” And Jesus replied: “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer.”
Today, what would happen in our lives if we had faith to believe that Jesus can do anything? Would it change our prayer life?
Lord, help us to believe You for the impossible situations in our lives!
