In Mark 16, we see the last words that He said to His disciples (followers). The last words that a person says are the words that we will remember for the rest of our lives. What was so important about what Jesus said to His followers?
Mark 16: 15-20; “And then Jesus told them, “GO into all the world and preach the GOOD NEWS to EVERYONE. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. These MIRACULOUS SIGNS (supernatural signs) will accompany those who believe. They will cast out demons in My name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes safely, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”
“When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, He was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand. AND the disciples WENT EVERYWHERE and PREACHED, and the LORD WORKED THROUGH THEM, CONFIRMING WHAT THEY SAID BY MANY MIRACULOUS SIGNS.”
These are the last words to every follower of Jesus today! We are to GO! We are to go to people in our city and around the world and declare the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is not only for pastors, evangelists, and missionaries, but for every single follower. God sent the Holy Spirit to WORK IN US, AND THEN WORK THROUGH US!
How many of us have drifted in our spiritual lives? God is asking us to shift and walk in the spirit in our daily lives! God wants to use us today to “Reach the City and Touch the World for Jesus.”
Lord, help us to Go in 2026!
