This journey of life has a final destination, and we need to realize that we will all have to face death. And we will all stand before the Lord and give an account of what we did with Jesus, the gift of salvation!

James tells us this is the way we should live. James 4:14 tells us: “You do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.”

We all want to think we will live forever. But there are no guarantees that we will live another day. That is why we need to be ready for heaven today. God’s Word tells us: “For God so loved the world that He gave His Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Lord, I am thankful that I have accepted You as my Savior and am ready for the eternal journey!
