In Daniel 3, we find the account of three young Hebrew men who were taken captive and lived in a foreign culture. The King has a statue built in his likeness that is 90 feet tall. And made a law that when the music starts, every person will bow to worship the king. However, some of the Hebrews would not bow down to worship the king. So the king made a law that anyone who would not worship the statue would be thrown into the fiery furnace.
These three young men refused to bow down as they stood before the king with their lives on the line. How did they respond? How would we respond?
This is their response: “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. IF we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God WHOM WE SERVE IS ABLE TO SAVE US. He will rescue us from your power, Your majesty. BUT even if He doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your majesty, that WE WILL NEVER SERVE YOUR GODS OR WORSHIP THE GOLD STATUE THAT YOU HAVE SET UP.”
That is being all in! They were willing to lay it all on the line for serving the Lord! They were going to trust God no matter what the result would be. God will save us, or we will perish and go to be with the Lord!
Lord, help me to be ALL IN like these three young men! Lord, I choose to trust You over every situation that comes my way today! BECAUSE YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN SAVE US!
