God has a plan and purpose for every single one of us. How important is it to live out God’s will for our lives?

Sometimes, we feel that God’s will or purpose for our lives is wrong, but God’s will is really God’s best for us. We must choose to be God’s best or our best shot at life. God’s best is always better than anything I can do in my own wisdom and strength.

1 John 2:16-17 tells us: “For all that is in the world – the desires of the flesh, and the desires of the eyes and the pride of life – is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.”

I must daily make a choice: Am I going to live by my desires of the flesh, desires of what I see in this world, or pride in life? We all can make this choice. The second choice is to live out God’s will and do His will!

My choices will determine not only the immediate pleasure but also will have eternal consequences.

Lord, I choose Your will because it is Your best for me!
