People are hurting, broken, and stressed out by so many things that are happening in life. And even followers of Jesus are carrying heavy burdens and struggles in life that God never intended us to take.

How many of us are carrying burdens and struggles that are out of our control! Because we cannot control things, we become stressed out by life!

Jesus gives us an answer in Matthew 11: 28 30 “Then Jesus said, ‘Come to Me, all of you who are weary, and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Are we stressed or filled with rest? You cannot live with both! Many of us are stressed because we will not do what the Lord invites us to do.

“Come to Jesus! I need to learn to bring my stress, problems, and burdens to the Lord and cast them on Him. If I come to Jesus and give Him my stresses, then He will provide me with internal rest. That does not mean that He will always take the stressful situations away, but He will give me His rest in the midst of the stress. Jesus promises to provide us with a peace that passes all human understanding. The more we get stressed, the more we need to come to Him!

*Come to Jesus and allow His Presence to give you rest for your souls! When we take His yoke upon us, we come into alignment with Jesus and allow Him to carry the heavy burden with us! I can try to solve the issues by myself, or I can go and take His yoke upon me. That means He will carry the things that I cannot hold myself!

Today, why carry the stress when He wants to give you rest? Lord, I come into alignment with you today, and receive the rest that You can give to me!
