We need the blessing of God over our lives, homes, church, and nation!

When we think of blessings, we tend to think in terms of financial blessings, provision of our material needs, and blessing us with things we want to make our lives easier. But these things may not be a blessing but a curse because they distract us from being All In with Jesus!

Psalm 67:1-3 gives us a way to pray for God’s blessing in our lives. “May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face shine upon us, that Your way may be made known on the earth, Your saving power among all nations. Let the people praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise You.”

  • We need to pray for God to be gracious to us, our family, our church, and our nation! We need His grace every single moment of every day. The Lord told Paul, “My grace is sufficient for you…” God’s grace is a blessing!
  • We need to pray for God’s blessing over our lives, marriages, families, etc. I need God’s presence, peace, power, and provision in my life. Everything we receive from God is a blessing from my Good Father!
  • We need to pray for His face to shine upon our lives, families, churches, and nations! Lord, see that my life pleases You. “If I delight myself in You, You will give me the desires of my heart!”
  • We need to pray that people will be saved and that God’s way will be known on earth. The greatest blessing is seeing people come to Christ. Who am I leading to Christ in my personal life?
  • We need to pray for a heart for missions and being a kingdom builder. Pray for God’s saving power among all the nations. Pray for missions, go on a mission trip, and give to Kingdom Builders!

What is the blessing of God? Psalm 67:3 – “Let all the people praise You, O God; let all the people praise You!”

Lord, I need Your blessing today!
