What is the message that every follower of Jesus needs to present – JESUS! We are not to give our opinions, views, or the newest fad, we are to lift up the name of Jesus!
Paul wrote to the Corinthian church in 1 Corinthians 2: 2-5; “For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the One who was crucified. I came to you in weakness – timid and trembling. And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied on the POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom, but in the POWER OF GOD.”
We need the POWER of God and the Holy Spirit to impact people for Jesus! We do not need the newest fad, personal opinions, or the philosophy of the culture that we live in today. We need to lift up Jesus and have the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives, ministries and church!
It is still true today: “It is not by might, nor by human power, but by My Spirit says the Lord.
Lord, it is all about You! Because “You are the same yesterday, today and forever.” Lord, help me to always lift up the name of Jesus!
