The Lord wants me to enjoy life and be prosperous even as my soul prospers in the Lord. What will it take for us to enjoy life and be prosperous?
In Psalm 128: 1-2; “How joyful are those who fear the Lord – all who follow His ways! You will enjoy the fruit of your labor. How joy and prosperous you will be.”
What simple verses give us the secret to enjoying life and being prosperous?
- I need to fear the Lord! It means I must have awe, respect, and a holy fear for the Lord and His Word. I need to revere King Jesus! I need to know that He is large and in charge! I need to surrender it all to Him! When I allow Him to call Him my King, life becomes much more enjoyable! Joy comes when we are in the right relationship with the Lord. Blessing comes when we are in the right relationship with the Lord.
- I need to follow His Ways! I cannot rebel, disobey, and do my own things and expect to have joy and God’s blessings in my life! I must follow ALL His ways to know joy, blessing, and prosperity in my life. I cannot follow Jesus part-time and expect His blessing and favor over my life!
When I do my part, God will do His part, and I will be joyful and prosperous because of my relationship with the Lord.
Lord, today I choose to fear You and to follow You!
