The journey of following Jesus does not begin with our feelings that we will try Jesus, want Jesus, or need Jesus. The journey begins with God’s Spirit drawing us to Himself. God’s Spirit is drawing us before we even think about God.
We read in John 6:44, “For no one can come to Me (Jesus) unless the Father who sent me draws them to me.” God is working on our lives, even when we want nothing to do with God. God is working before we were born, working on us when we were born, and working on us every day that we are living.
Here is the good news: Salvation begins with God! God is working even when we do not see anything happening! We need to pray for our families, friends, and people we come in contact with so that they would be aware of the presence of God!
Today, allow the Holy Spirit to draw you closer to Jesus! Allow His Spirit to speak to, guide, lead, and convict you! But then we need to respond to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is drawing people today!
Allow the Holy Spirit to use you to help others come to Jesus today! God can use us to help people come on the journey of following Jesus!
Our prayer today needs to be: “Lord, speak to me, and lead me to others that You are preparing right now to begin this journey of following Jesus.”
