Ontario, CANADA — After two days of searching for a missing Filipina from Brampton, police authorities found her body Saturday, August 20, in a pond near Regional Road 50 and Zimmerman Road in Palgrave, Ontario, about 30 kilometers north of Brampton.
Raquel Junio-Ermacora, 42, of Bramption, was allegedly kidnapped by her estranged husband. She has not been seen since she was abducted from her home and forced into a pick-up truck.
Two suspects have been arrested and charged with kidnapping, forcible confinement and assault. Macdermid Ermacora, 43, was arrested Thursday morning and Gary Murray, 42, also of Brampton, was arrested Saturday. They are both due to appear in court on August 24 for bail hearings.
According to the Toronto Star, the couple’s 3-year-old daughter and Junio’s teenaged son from a previous relationship are being cared for by a family friend.
Junio worked at Talize (Thrift Magic Company), a thrift store in Ontario. According to Junio’s Facebook account, she graduated from the National College of Business Arts in 1989 and from Bayambang National High School in 1985.
