Part XXXVIII of the “Geopolitics” Series

On August 6, 2023, this column presented an idea called “President Biden Can Reinvent an ‘American-led Commonwealth of Countries’.” It was published two months and one day before Hamas terrorists attacked Israel.

Ergo, eternal peace may be created, leading to a permanent truce and cooperation between Israel and Palestine. How? President Biden can invite both countries to stage a referendum on whether Israelis and Palestinians want to make their respective nations join an American Commonwealth of Nations and also decide if they wish to be given the option of becoming dual citizens of the United States.

Peace may finally reign in the Middle East — starting with the “sister Commonwealth Countries” of Israel and Palestine — after a series of bloody wars between both peoples for the past 76 years and counting. No American president has come close to leading Israelis and Palestinians to reach a familiar Promised Land.

This column also has already advanced a proposal on how to convert disputed territories between Israel and Palestine. How? Turn them into “Abraham Squares,” as the Prophet Abraham was a common ancestor and patriarch of Jews, Muslims, and Christians.

Please read the past articles about the topic of creating “Abraham Squares” in Israel and Palestine (and even in the entire Middle East). And how to fund them.

The Sorsoganon Idea of an “Abraham Square” Can Lead to Middle-Eastern Peace (as published on April 9, 2023).

The “Land of the Future” Can Make the “Abraham Square” Idea a Reality Today (as published on April 12, 2023)

Funding Reconstruction and “Abraham Squares” in the Middle East (as published on October 25, 2023).

In the meantime, peacekeepers from Azerbaijan, the Philippines, and other countries may be fielded under the auspices of the United Nations. This article, “A United Nations Peacekeeping Force Is the Best Option for Middle-Eastern Peace and Prosperity” (written on January 31, 2024), discusses the said peacekeepers.

Likewise, President Biden may like to call also as additional proponents of everlasting peace in the Middle East the “New York Peacebuilding Commission.” The White House and readers may want to visit its Facebook site.

Since the “New York Peacebuilding Commission” has the blessings of New York City Mayor Eric Adams, perhaps President Biden can invite him to lead a Peace Mission to Israel and Palestine. Incidentally, Mayor Adams also writes a column called “Getting Stuff Done” in this publication. Perhaps he can get things done and rolling in the Middle East, starting in the Gaza Strip.

The New York Peacebuilding Commission is also a multiethnic private initiative with members from the Judeo, Christian, and Islamic communities. Its founder, Sheikh Musa Drammeh, invited this columnist to become one of its charter members.

Perhaps President Biden may like to recall the song “New York, New York,” as belted by the one-and-only Frank Sinatra, as paraphrased: “If (peace) can make it in New York, it can make it anywhere …” Because New York City’s where the United Nations was founded and is headquartered.

Therefore, Mr. President, you have an army of civilian peacemakers and peacebuilders to send to Israel and Palestine and United Nations peacekeepers to start the balls of perpetual peace and socioeconomic development rolling. You have everything, including immortality, to gain and nothing to lose. Right?
