How many of us have a night light in our house? At night, we use this light to direct us in the dark.
This is a little light, but it is an important light.
Romans 13:12-14: The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness, and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think how to gratify the desires of the flesh.”
As followers of Jesus, we are to wake up and begin walking in the light of Jesus Christ. We now have the Holy Spirit living in us who empowers us to live a Godly life in an ungodly world.
That is why we need to walk in the light and not gratify or live in the flesh. We need to make a decision daily: am I going to walk in the light of Jesus or the darkness of sin?
My direction will determine my destination! Lord, empower me to walk in the right direction today!
