“My grace is all you need! My power works best in you when you are weak”

God allows things into our lives to keep us humble and dependent on Him for the journey of our lives! Being a Christian is impossible without the presence of the Holy Spirit. We must constantly make room for His presence in our lives.

When we read the Bible, we see the real-life struggles of the followers of Jesus. Paul writes to the church and tells his story of following Jesus. In 2 Corinthians 12: 7-10, we read, “…So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud. Three times, I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time, the Lord said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses and the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

How many wonder why things happen to us in our lives? Paul shows us the battle, and the enemy wants to torment us because we struggle, fight, control, and try to manipulate our lives when we are tormented. What do we do with the problems and struggles of life? We pray for God to take them away, to make our lives easy and comfortable. Paul says – “The Lord told him, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in your weakness.”

Is the Lord trying to get us to understand that in our journey of following Jesus? “My grace is all you need! My power works best in you when you are weak.” This is the place of surrender to the Lord and His purpose in our lives: “To make us more like Jesus.”

If you are weak today, ask the Lord for His grace in your situation. Ask Him for His presence, Peace, and Provision of Grace to face today! “For when I am weak, vulnerable, hurting, that is when God’s grace is all that we need!” When I am weak, I am strong because of His presence and power in my life!

Thank you, Lord, for your amazing grace today!
