Praise the Lord because things change when we focus on Him and not on life’s situations

The power of our song, praise, and worship changes how we see and do life! When we know God like David did, we will lift up our voices to God.

In David’s song of worship in 2 Samuel 22: 30-31, He sings to the Lord: “In Your strength, I can crush an army; with my God, I can scale any wall. God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to Him for protection.”

  • When we have a relationship with Jesus, we can receive His strength to say no to Sin, Satan, and Self and to say yes to Jesus and the Word of God! “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Am I allowing the Lord to strengthen me daily to live in victory?
  • When we have a relationship with Jesus, we do not focus on the size of the wall, obstacle, or problem; we focus on the size of our God! Our God is bigger than what I am facing in life today!
  • When we have a relationship with Jesus, we realize that God’s Ways are always perfect! God makes no mistakes, and when we obey Him, He leads us down the ideal path.
  • When we have a relationship with Jesus, we can rest in knowing that all God’s promises are yes and amen in Christ Jesus!
  • When we have a relationship with Jesus, He is our shield, protector, and defender in life! I can trust Him to fight my battles for me because “the battle is not mine but the Lord’s!”

So when you come to church, get ready to praise the Lord because things change when we focus on Him and not on life’s situations!
