Part XXXI of the “United States 2024 Election
Joe Biden has secured his proper place in American history by performing well in his presidency. Among his accomplishments are persuading the U.S. Congress to pass infrastructure legislation in a bipartisanly way and preserving the United States’ role as the world’s number-one economy and leader of the Free World. Mr. Biden added more historic laurels when he defeated an incumbent, Donald Trump, whom critics forecasted would become a strongman like Idi Amin of Uganda.
Then President Donald Trump allegedly wanted to become the American version of Idi Amin — had he been reelected in 2020. Yes, Mr. Trump’s probable model of a leader was the Ugandan dictator who was considered one of the most brutal and insane despots in modern world history. President Biden saved America’s democracy.
Mr. Biden can add more glory to his presidency when he passes the torch to a new generation of able and competent leaders. A victorious Democratic presidential slate will carry on Joe Biden’s vision for socioeconomic reforms, more equitable taxation to pay for them, and secure stability, peace, and progress for the Free World. A Democratic-led U.S. Congress will enable American policy-and-decision makers to pass comprehensive gun-control legislation and other law-and-order reforms. Passing the Biden proposal of a “Wealth Tax” will help his Democratic successor to balance the budget and reduce federal indebtedness.
Overwhelming majorities of Democrats, Lincoln Republicans, Independents, especially women, millennial voters, and minorities will enthusiastically join retiring President Biden, former Presidents Clinton and Obama, and other American leaders in forging a grand and victorious coalition for 2024.
Yes, a retired Joe Biden can become a great president emeritus like Bill Clinton and Obama and continue their stewardship of the grand coalition. And motivate the coming generation of leaders and the youth to follow in their footsteps.
