How many like action stories or movies? Action gets us interested, involved, and a part of the story. The book of Acts is an action book of the beginning of the church. The action of the book of Acts is still needed in our lives and in the church today. God saved us, fills us with the Holy Spirit to see supernatural action in our lives and the church.

Acts 1:4-5 goes back to the book of Luke and reminds them that Jesus commanded all of His disciples to do what He had commanded them to do. “Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends the Gift He promised, as I told you before. John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit.”

This was a command for the followers of Jesus to obey. Over 500 people were given the command, but only 120 followed through and went to the Upper Room.

If we really believe that every gift that God has given us is for our good, needed, and to help us live a life of action. Why would we not want all the gifts that God has provided for us?

We need to be baptized in water, which is an outward sign to people that we are followers of Jesus.

But we also need the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the overflow of the Holy Spirit in our lives to equip us, empower us for a life of supernatural action.

Today, we need to simply begin to hunger and thirst for all that God has for us. Lord, fill me to overflow in Your Spirit today!

Just begin to say Lord, I want more of You in my life! Welcome the Holy Spirit into your life today! He is a wonderful gift for our spiritual good! “Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father.”

Receive the gift of salvation, but also receive the gift of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit! It is a life changer!
