What should our prayer be for ourselves, our families, our church, and our nation? Lord, will You Restore, Renew, Revive so that we may Rejoice in You again?

“Restore us again, O God of our salvation, and put away Your indignation toward us! Will You be angry with us forever? Will You prolong Your anger to all generations? Will You not revive us again that Your people may rejoice in You?” Psalm 85: 4-7

  • Restore us! To restore something means to bring it back to its original purpose and condition. Are we in the right place spiritually? Are we really all in for Jesus? The first prayer we need to pray is “Restore us, Lord! Forgive me, Lord!”
  • Renew Me! We then pray that the Lord will renew us! Lord, take out the hardness in my heart and give me a new heart, mind, and spirit!
  • Revive Me! Only the presence of the Holy Spirit can revive me! We must draw near to Him, and He will draw near me! There must be a desire and action on my part to see revival!
  • Rejoice in the Lord! Revival will lead us to rejoice, praise, and worship the Lord!

Where am I today in this process? Lord, will You not revive us again?
