I am thankful today for what Jesus provided for me when He died on the Cross, was resurrected from the grave, and is alive today! What a wonderful Savior who loves someone like me.
1 John 2: 1-2 is a great reminder of the Savior’s love for you and me: “My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous. He Himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins – and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.”
- Sin is epidemic in every single one of us, and there is only one cure for sin: Jesus shedding His blood on the Cross for the forgiveness of all my sins (Past, present, and future). What a gift of salvation for every single one of us!
- The Savior Jesus is the cure for all sin! John tells us that we are not to sin when we accept Christ because we have a new nature. But if we sin, we have a Savior who is our advocate and pleads the case before God the Father. He is and always will be the only cure for sin!
- The Sacrifice for all of our sins is Jesus! There is nothing that we can do for the forgiveness of our sins. Jesus paid the price, and we must accept His sacrifice for our sins! Jesus is the sacrifice for our sins and the whole world’s sins!
As we approach Good Friday and think about the Cross, let us remember God’s love for us. He sent His One and Only Son to pay the price for all of my sins!
