“When the devil had finished tempting Jesus, he left him until the next opportunity came.” Luke 4:13

In the journey of Jesus, we see that the devil tempted Him for 40 days, and Jesus passed every temptation without giving in to the temptations. Temptation is accurate, but we can choose to give in or reject it.

Jesus had victory over the temptation, and it tells us that the devil left Jesus until the next opportunity came.

We need to be aware and prepared for temptation. We need to make sure that we are not giving the devil opportunity to find a way to tempt us.

To defeat temptation in our life journey, we must stay close to Jesus and His Word! We need to be prepared before temptation comes into our lives!

James 4:7 gives us how to be prepared for the next temptation:

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Lord, help me submit to You and Your Word today and resist the enemy’s temptations today!
