Salvation is only possible because of the grace of God!

In Mark 10:17-31, we read the story of the rich young ruler. He comes to Jesus and asks a question that every one of us has asked ourselves: “What must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus lists the commandments that every Jewish person would know from memorization. The young man says to Jesus, “I have kept all of these since I was a young boy.”

Jesus looks at the young man and says to him, “One thing you lack, Jesus said. “Go sell all you have and give it to the poor. Then come follow Me.”

When he heard what Jesus said, he walked away very sad because of all that he had. The disciples saw this encounter and asked each other, “Who then can be saved?”

Jesus said to the disciples, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God!”

Salvation is impossible with man, religion, rules, or works! Man cannot save Himself! No man can save you! No religion can save you! It is impossible!

But salvation is only possible because of God, by sending His Son who died on the Cross to forgive me of all my sins! Salvation is only possible because of the grace of God!

I am thankful that “All things are possible with God!”

It is the real meaning of Christmas!
