In Luke 12: 22-34, Jesus taught His disciples and His followers today about life’s journey and how to handle everything we worry about, stress about, and think we need to be happy. Jesus is talking about possessions, stuff, and the things that money can buy, but money cannot buy peace and happiness in this world.
- Jesus tells us why you are so full of worry. What does worry do for us? Worry does not change anything! Worry does not help you! Worry does not give you what you need in life. In verses 25-26, Jesus says, “Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use of worrying about bigger things?” Think about this the next time you start to worry! Stop worrying and start praying!
- What is the answer? Jesus tells us in Luke 12: 31, 34 the answer we need to put into practice for the journey. “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and He will give you everything you need.” “Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.”
We have a choice of how we will journey through life: We can worry ourselves sick, or we can pray, seek and trust the Lord for the journey!
Lord, help me to pray, seek and trust You for all the steps of my journey!
