Hebrews 13 gives us the concluding words of this book. The writer gives us some words to remember as we continue the journey of following Jesus.

Hebrews 13:4 gives us some words about marriage. Marriage is a holy, spiritual relationship and more than a legal relationship.

“Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage. God will surely judge people who are immoral and those who commit adultery.”

  • Marriage is holy! Marriage is a covenant between man, woman, and God. We become one flesh when we get married. We need to consider the spiritual relationship we enter when we get married.
  • Marriage is a lifetime commitment to your spouse. When we commit adultery, we are sinning against God and our mate. We may try to cover it up, keep it secret from our mate. But God will eventually uncover sin. Remember the story of David and his adultery and murder in the Bible.

If you are married, remember marriage is a spiritual and holy relationship that involves God in your marriage covenant.

Start giving honor to your spouse and treat your mate with Godly honor!
