God allows tests in our lives to reveal our condition and to help us determine how we will respond to difficulties.
In Job 1, we see Job’s test, and he is unaware of what is happening!
Job 1: 7-8: “Where have you come from?” the Lord asked Satan. Satan answered the Lord, “I have been patrolling the earth, watching everything that’s going on.” Then the Lord said, “Have you noticed My servant Job? He is the finest man on all the earth. He is blameless—a man of complete integrity. He fears God and stays away from evil.”
Satan is not the one who brings up Job. God is the one who brings up Job to Satan. God knows what we can handle and what we need to grow to be more like Him. God’s Will for our lives is not comfort, pleasure, and spiritual laziness but to become more like Jesus!
God will not stop allowing things into our lives to get us to grow to be like Jesus. We must realize that “He that began a good work in You will bring it to the day of completion.” As long as we live, God works in and through us to make us like Jesus.
The good work that God is doing in our lives is not the American dream but the Will of God! God’s will is and always will be: Romans 8: 28-29; “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and care called according to His purpose for them. God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like His Son, so His Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.”
Just like God knew Job, God knows you and what He needs to do to make you more like Jesus!
Thank You, Lord, that You are working on me today!
