The fear of the Lord is the beginning of real wisdom

Have we lost our fear, awe, and respect that belongs to the Lord? Have we become so casual with our relationship with the Lord that we have forgotten that God is Holy?

Psalm 111:9-10: “He sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever. Holy and awesome is His name! The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever.”

Why should we fear, awe, and honor God with our lips and life? Why should I be all in for Jesus?

  • He provided His Son to save and redeem me from all my sins!
  • He has commanded His Covenant forever to me! God is faithful, loving, and merciful towards me every single day! God is for me, not against me!
  • He is Holy and awesome! God is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! He deserves us all because He is Holy and Awesome!

When I have a Biblical fear of the Lord, it is the beginning of real wisdom. When I put God first in my life, I receive His wisdom and guidance. I understand life from His perspective, and I live to worship Him!

Being All In means: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these other things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33
