How many questions do we have about whether we are really Christians? How many doubt our identity in Christ? How many of us doubt God’s plan for our lives?
When I was a freshman in high school, I was baptized in the Holy Spirit and called into ministry during a missions convention. But when I was a senior and had to make plans for college. I struggled with whether I was really called to ministry. I struggled with public speaking and being in front of people.
One night, I was in my bedroom doing devotions, and I read this verse, and it settled the question for almost the last 50 years!
Here is my life verse that the Holy Spirit gave to guide me and my life choices:
“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit – fruit that will last – and so that what you ask in my name the Father will give you.”
The Holy Spirit will guide us into the truth. The truth is the Word of God!
If you are looking for guidance, then ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to God’s truth!
