In Acts 20, Paul is in Ephesus and senses that the Holy Spirit wants him to return to Jerusalem. He realizes that his journey here on earth is coming to a close.
Paul not only started the journey of following Jesus well, but he desired to end the journey well.
In verses 22–24, Paul says, “And now I am bound by the Spirit to go to Jerusalem. I don’t know what awaits me, except that the Holy Spirit tells me in city after city that jail and suffering lie ahead. But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus – the work of telling others the wonderful grace of God.”
How are we going to finish our journey of following Jesus? We must realize no matter what our age, situations in life. We must finish the work that the Lord has given us to do.
Lord, help me to keep sharing, ministering, and leading my family, friends, and people that God brings into my life about the wonderful grace of God!
Lord, help me to finish my journey serving You!
