To be ready for life now and all eternity- our only hope is Jesus! Are you ready for heaven?

There are not many guarantees in life – but taxes and death. Death is a guarantee to every single person. If death is going to touch us, then we need to be prepared before that day. God’s Word tells us to number our days.

Psalm 39:4-6; David tells us: “O Lord, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting I am! Behold, you have made my days a few handbreaths, and my lifetime is as nothing before you. Surely all mankind stands as a mere breath! Surely a man goes about as a shadow! Surely for nothing they are in turmoil; man heaps up wealth and does not know who will gather.”

• We need to prepare today for eternity and eternal life. “Today is the day of salvation.” No one is guaranteed another day. So, we must be ready for heaven by being all in for Jesus while we live. Why do people gamble with eternity?
• Life passes by so quickly, especially as we age. When we look back, where did all those years go?
• Nothing in this world is permanent, fulfilling, and lasting. Only Jesus can satisfy in this life and for all eternity.

We have watched the tragic fires in LA. No matter how much or how little you have in this world, the fires took everything families were working for. David says in verse 6, “Surely for nothing, they are in turmoil; man heaps up money, stuff, and does not know who will gather.

How many people live for something that will not prepare them for eternity?

Here is the answer in Psalm 39:7: “And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? MY HOPE IS IN YOU!”

If we want to be ready for life now and all eternity- our only hope is Jesus! Are you ready for heaven?

John 3:16; “For God so loved the world that He gave His One and Only Son. That whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”
