In Acts 4, we see that many people are becoming followers of Jesus. So they arrested Peter and John and put them in jail, but people are still following Jesus! The Gospel is the message of Jesus and not about the messenger!
Peter and John stand before the religious rulers and begin to question them. In verse 7, “By what power or name did you do this?”
Verses 8-12 are Peter’s answer: “Then Peter filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them”…” It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead that this man stands before you healed. Jesus is “the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.” Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
Peter gave the simple message of Jesus. Jesus was crucified, raised on the third day, and is saving and healing people today. Jesus is the Savior of the world, and there is no other way.”
Evangelism is easy when we remember it is all about Jesus. We try to complicate the Gospel, but the Gospel of Jesus is the power of God!
Today, ask the Lord to give you opportunities to talk to someone about Jesus. Because Jesus is and always will be the Way, the Truth, and the Life!”
