Today, help me to humble myself before the Holy God and realize how desperately I need Him in my life!

Are we preparing for His presence in our daily lives? How do we prepare for the Lord to be with us?
Isaiah 57:15: “The high and lofty One who lives in eternity, the Holy One says this: ‘I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts.”

How many remember that old commercial: “When EF Hutton speaks, we all listen.” How many know that when the Holy God speaks, we should listen and obey what He says?

If we want to live in His presence, then He tells us, “I live with those whose spirits are contrite and humble.

Contrite in the Bible means that we are remorseful and humbled by our own sins and failures, and know that our only help is the grace and mercy of the Lord. If we want the favor, blessing, and anointing of the Lord, we need to be contrite and humble in our walk with the Lord!

When we are contrite and humble, then the Lord says that He will restore the crushed spirit of those who are humble. We cannot expect the blessing of God if we are not willing to be humbled before the Lord and His Word!

When we are repentant, the Lord says that He will revive our courage, faith, and hope.

Today, help me to humble myself before the Holy God and realize how desperately I need Him in my life!
