Today, I might get knocked down and face all kinds of pressure, but I will trust in the Lord, get up, and keep following Him!

Life is a pressure cooker, and we are in trouble if we never release its pressure! We need to know how to release life’s real pressure and stress! That’s why we need to know and experience the presence of the Holy Spirit!

Paul knew about pressure, but He also knew the presence of the Holy Spirit! He wrote in 2 Corinthians 4: 8- 10: “We are PRESSED on every side by troubles, but we are not CRUSHED. We are PERPLEXED, but not driven to DESPAIR. We are HUNTED DOWN, but NEVER ABANDONED by God. We get KNOCKED DOWN, but we are not DESTROYED. Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.”

We will face pressure, stress, troubles, confusing times, and even be knocked down by life. But how will we respond to life’s pressure? Are we going to fall and stay there, or get up and keep following Jesus? Are we going to be pressed and allow it to crush us? Are we going to get knocked down and let it destroy us? Or will we let the life of Jesus give us victory under life’s pressure?

We need the power of the Holy Spirit to equip and empower us for real life situations. We need to know and live out God’s Word daily.

No matter what pressure you are feeling today, remind yourself of God’s Word. One of my favorite verses is Romans 8:28: “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who LOVE GOD AND ARE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE FOR THEM.”

Today, I might get knocked down and face all kinds of pressure, but I will trust in the Lord, get up, and keep following Him!
