The last thing Jesus said in Luke 24, before He would go back to Heaven, was that the followers of Jesus needed to go to Jerusalem. In verse 49, “I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”
Why would we not want everything that God has provided for us? Why would we not want to be empowered by the Holy Spirit in our daily lives?
Jesus Himself said, “It is for Your advantage that I go back to Heaven, so that I will send the Holy Spirit to live in you! We can be clothed in the power of the Holy Spirit!“
Today, ask the Lord to fill you with the Holy Spirit! Welcome the Spirit into your life today.
As the song says, “Holy Spirit, you are welcome in this place!”
