What time is it? What time is it for followers of Jesus? What is going on in this world? It is time to wake up!
In Romans 13:11 – “This is all the more urgent, for you how late is is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.”
How many of us have a hard time waking up in the morning? I am a morning person, and I get up most times before the alarm goes off. But not every person is like that; some people will push the snooze button a number of times before they roll out of bed.
In the Spiritual sense, how many of us keep hitting the snooze button? We will get right with God later. We need to live life now in the world. We have plenty of time to get right with God someday.
The writer of Romans gives us a warning about the spiritual snooze button.
* We are living in urgent times; it is getting late! We are seeing things that the Bible says will happen in the last days. We need to realize that we are living in urgent times. It is time to get serious about all that is going on in this world today! Stop hitting the snooze button, because no one is guaranteed tomorrow.
* Time is running out! No one knows when we will take our last breath on earth. We see people dying every day, and one day will be our last day. Are we ready? Are we ready to meet Jesus? Are we ready for heaven? Are we ready if Jesus should return today?
Time is running out, but are we ready for eternity?
* Wake up! It is time to get out of our spiritual sleep, drowsiness, and apathy and wake up spiritually! Time to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness! Time to get right with King Jesus! Time to get serious about serving Jesus! Today could be our last opportunity to get right with God and to help others get right with God.
* Our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. Every day is another day closer to us seeing Jesus, because of graduating to heaven, or Jesus coming back!
Today, stop hitting the snooze button, and wake up and give your life totally to King Jesus! Today, are you ready to meet Jesus?
