In Genesis 3, we see that Adam and Eve gave into temptation, and then they tried to hide from God because of their sin. (We have all sinned, and we have all tried to hide from God).

Genesis 3: 9-11; “But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, Where are you?” And he said, I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked, and I hid myself.” God said, “Who told you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree which I commanded you not to eat?”

The Bible tells us – “Be sure your sins will find you out.” God knows our sin, but we try to ignore it, hide it, run from it, or even justify it.

But when Adam and Eve sinned, they knew it! When we sin, we need to know it, own it, and then confess our sin and repent of our sin to God. Our relationship with God is hindered until we return to Him!

Here is God’s plan when we sin:

“If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His Word is not in us!”

Today, stop playing hide-and-seek with Jesus and come to Him! The game is over, and God is waiting for you.
