Today, what choices will I make?

Life is all about the choices that we make! Every single day, we make all kinds of choices, from small to major. The choices that we make will have lasting consequences. This is true in the physical world, financial world, relationships, and spiritual realm.

I want to make the right choices because it will determine my life’s and my family’s consequences!

Psalm 105: 1-4 gives us some choices we face in our spiritual lives.

“Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim His greatness. Let the whole world know what He has done. Sing to him, yes, sing his praises and tell everyone about His wonderful deeds. Exult in His holy name, rejoice, you who worship the Lord. Search for the Lord and for His strength; continually seek Him.”

What choices will I make today?

  • Will I give thanks to the Lord today? No one knows what is going to happen today. We can complain about the weather, the world, the economy, family, or situations in our lives, or we can thank the Lord that no matter what we have to face today, He is faithful and has been with us all the way! “Give thanks in all situations, for this is the will of God for you. But the choice is up to each of us.
  • Will I proclaim, tell myself and others, how great our God is? I remember a little prayer that we prayed as children: “God is great, God is good, and we thank Him for our food. In Jesus’ name, Amen.” If God is providing us with all of our needs, He is great and should be praised! But the choice is up to each of us.
  • Will I sing praises to Him today? Will I praise and worship Him in my private life today? What about when you are stuck in NYC traffic today, put on some worship music and begin to sing praises to Him? But the choice is up to each of us.
  • Will I tell someone about Jesus today? God brings people into our lives who need Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We are the only Jesus they will see. But is the choice up to each of us?
  • Will I search for the Lord for His strength and seek Him? Am I searching for the Lord in my life today? “He is my refuge and strength, a very present help in the time of need!” But the choice is up to me.
