What should be our priority today in our journey of being All In for Jesus? Three words – PRAISE, PROMISES, PRAYER!
Psalm 138: 1-3 reveals this to us: “I give You thanks, O Lord, with all my heart. I will sing Your praises before the gods. I bow before Your holy temple as I worship. I praise Your name for Your unfailing love and faithfulness, for Your promises are backed by all the honor of Your name. As soon as I pray, You answer me, You encourage me by giving me strength.”
During today’s day, remind yourself of these three words PRAISE, PROMISE, PRAYER!
- PRAISE – Start your day off by praising the Lord for all of His blessings in your life. The Psalmist tells us: “I give You thanks, O Lord, with all my heart.” If you are going to be all in, then why not go all in and start to praise the Lord and give thanks to the Lord? “I will sing Your praises before the gods.” Begin to lift up that wonderful name of Jesus!
Why should I praise the Lord today? Psalm 138:2 says, “I praise Your name for Your unfailing love and faithfulness.” The Psalmist reminds us why we should start by praising the Lord: “Because of His unfailing love and unfailing faithfulness.” Those are two of the many characteristics of our wonderful Jesus!
- PROMISES – “For Your promises are backed by all the honor of Your name.” We have wonderful promises that the Lord gives to His followers that are All In for Jesus! “Every promise is yes and amen in Christ Jesus.” Jesus is the promise Keeper! Jesus will never fail in one of His promises! So today, remind yourself of all the promises of God.
That leads us to the last word: - PRAYER – Prayer will be different when we begin to PRAISE AND to remember His PROMISES! Prayer changes us! Prayer in faith moves the heart and the hands of God. “As soon as I pray, YOU answer me, YOU encourage me by giving me strength.” Prayer realizes that God is helping and strengthening me through life’s situations. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!”
Today, why not focus on these three simple words: PRAISE, PROMISES, and PRAYER! It might help us today!
