NEW YORK – The U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services (USIS) announced it will soon launch online organizational accounts and electronic filing for H-1B petitioners to increase efficiency and ease collaboration for organizations and their legal representatives.
The introduction of online organizational accounts for non-cap filings and the fiscal year (FY) 2025 H1-B cap season will enable multiple individuals with an organization, such as a company or other business entity, and their legal representatives to collaborate seamlessly H-1B registrations, Form I-129 (Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker), and the associated Form I-907 (Request for Premium Processing Service).
According to USCIS, organizational accounts are expected to be operational next month. Following this, the online filing of Forms I-129 and I-907 will be introduced. These changes are anticipated to streamline the Form I-129 H-1B petition process and minimize duplicate H-1B registrations and other common errors.
“USCIS is always striving to improve and streamline our processes, and this is a big step forward,” said USCIS Director Ur M. Jaddou. ”Once we launch the organizational accounts and online filing of I-129 H-1B petitions, the entire H-1B lifecycle becomes fully electronic — from registration, if applicable, to our final decision and transmission to the Department of State.”
USCIS will also transition the paper filing location for Forms I-129 and I-907 from service centers to the USCIS lockbox to increase efficiency by standardizing processes and reducing costs.
To increase efficiency through the standardization of processes and reduce costs, the USCIS said it would also transition the paper filing location for Forms I-129, H1-B petition papers, and I-907 from service centers to the USCIS lockbox.
In addition, to help guide organizations and legal representatives through the process, USCIS will host two national engagements on January 23 and 24 and several smaller sessions leading to the H-1B registration period. Participants will be asked questions about the organizational accounts in preparation for the FY 2025 H-1B electronic registration process and the launch of online filing for Form I-129 for H-1B petitions.
