When we choose to follow Jesus, there is one way to salvation: faith in Christ Jesus. “Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and there is no other way to the Father.” It is not Jesus plus anything else! It is faith in God’s amazing grace through Jesus Christ!
In Acts 15, we see that Jewish believers and Gentiles were following Jesus. They began to teach that Gentile believers would have to follow the traditions and rules of the Jewish religion. And so they met to discuss this issue. Peter stands up and shares:
Acts 15:8- “God knows people’s hearts, and He confirmed that He accepts Gentiles by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us.”
Acts 15:11 – “We believe that we are all saved the same, by the undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus.”
This is the way that every believer becomes a follower of Jesus! I am thankful today that salvation starts with Jesus and will end with Jesus!
What a wonderful Jesus that gives me grace! As the song says, “Amazing grace how sweet the sound the saved a wretch (sinner) like me.”
