In Acts 3, Peter and John are going to the temple to pray. There was a poor, lame man who was carried and put by the gates outside the temple area every day of his life to beg for money. He was not able to enter the temple, but could only beg outside it.

In Acts 3: 4-7: “As Peter and John was passing by, he asked them for some money. Peter looked straight at him, and then said “Look at us!” So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.”

He jumped up and began to walk, going into the temple courts, walking, jumping, and praising God!”

This was just like every other day for this lame man. But today was the day he would encounter followers of Jesus who would see this man’s need and act on it.

Many people see needs in people, but how many of us are willing to do something about it?

He asked for money, but his real need was not money, but a miracle of healing. Peter and John said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have, I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ – walk!”

The Lord wants to use us to give Jesus to those we come in contact with daily! We can only give Jesus away when He is in our lives!

We can be a part of a miracle in someone’s life today!
